Molly has finished today's heat of the Sprint Auto Parts Rally South Australia in a fine 11th place, after battling difficult conditions throughout the day.

Co-driven this weekend by the experienced Rhianon Smyth, Molly's aim for the day was just to finish the event after mechanical problems in last month's coates Rally Queensland forced her early retirement.  Round 4 of the Australian Rally Championship got off to a difficult start though, with heavy rain making the roads very slippery and making visibility difficult.  The weather cleared for the afternoon's stages giving more grip to the roads and this made things a little easier for Molly's 2WD Mitsubishi Mirage."We're very happy with our result today," Molly commented.  "The roads were very slippery this morning which didn't suit the Mirage but we managed to stay on the road and set consistent times, and to finish just outside the top ten is great!
"The car ran perfectly, and Rhianon and I worked really well together, so it's all looking really positive for tomorrow.
Molly also finished as the first 2WD car home today, over one minute ahead of her nearest rival.
Heat 2 commences tonight with two stages around the Angaston Super Special followed by eight stages tomorrow.  Only one of Sunday's stages is a re-run from today, so the pair will be relying heavily on their pacenotes again tomorrow.  With clear skies presently above the Barossa Valley, Molly is hoping for a fine weather and another similar result on day two.
